An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to work for one of UK's leading health care providers. You will be working in a highly reputed urgent care centre service within the Kingstanding, Birmingham area

This special care centre is committed to giving patients high quality healthcare. They offer a range of health services and information as well as advice and treatment for a range of illnesses and minor injuries

**To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin**As the Practice Nurse your key responsibilities include:

·        Provide high quality, safe and evidence based nursing care and advice to registered patients

·        Contribute to and participate in the delivery of a range of chronic diseases with an awareness of the Quality and Outcomes framework.

·        Independently prescribe or provide medicines via patient group directions or in accordance with a prescription by an independent prescriber

·        Ensure appropriate access to nursing and medical primary care services.

·        Regularly review progress on all nursing related and public health performance indicators and proactively manage progress with other key staff.

·        Make best use of clinical knowledge and skills existing in the nursing team, identify areas for development and work with the lead nurse to address these.

·        Actively participate in clinical audit and other governance processes.

·        Provide professional and clinical support and advice to other members of the Primary Health Care Team

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team

·        You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel

·        Clinical experience working in a GP practice

·        Experience working as a Practice Nurse
